We are a new church whose mission is to reach the unreached and connect the unconnected in our community to the real life Jesus Christ offers. What does that mean? It means we want to change the way you think about church. Church is way more than a building where people who pretend they have it all together meet each week. A church is a group of people who help each other up when we fall. Who know they aren't perfect but strive to follow Jesus closer each day. At Connexion, we want to be a church like that. We aren't perfect, we aren't fake and we aren't your grandma's church. Check out our XFactors to find out exactly the steps we follow to make sure all of that happens.

OJ (Old Jason) or as he likes to be called, Juice loves spending time with his family. His better half, Sherry, is the glue that hold his family of five (Maria 10, Annie 8, and Jon Wayne 4) together. Without her, their house would look like his office (a war zone—enter at your own risk).
OJ is a retired electrician, so he says—never really seen him wire anything and there seems to be several electrical issues with his own home. He is a graduate of Johnson Bible College with a Bachelor’s in Preaching. If his preaching career is cut short from some freak voice injury, the following are possible third career choices he is considering: World Poker Tour, PGA Golf Catty, or Hot Dog Vendor at Wrigley Field.
Finally, he is a dreamer who believes with all his heart that God… “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” (Ephes. 3:20).

Jason loves hanging out with people. It brings out the best in him. That's why he is so passionate about small groups. Relationships are one of the keys to a successful life in Christ. It takes relationships with other followers and authentic relationships within the community.
Jason graduated with a Bachelor's in Worship from Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln, IL and a Master's of Arts in Christian Education with a focus in small groups from Lincoln Christian Seminary, Lincoln, IL.
Jason loves sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, and the University of Illinois Fighting Illini.
